Is Wildwood® Chocolate Open for Business During COVID-19?

Yes! We are here to ease your isolation with delectable chocolates!  Supporting small businesses like ours is critical to our ability to stay in business.  We can’t thank you enough for ordering chocolate from us during this time.


Has Wildwood® Chocolate Implemented Rigorous Cleaning and Sanitation Protocols?

Yes! While there is no specific data indicating that the virus is spread by food products, we have implemented additional cleaning and sanitation protocols:

1) We have limited our staff to two employees who work in separate facilities to maintain separation during working hours.

2) Before entering either facility, our employees have been instructed to wash their hands at a cleaning station located outside of our kitchen suite. If entering the kitchen, our employees must also wash their hands again immediately after entering. Nothing other than the door knob is to be touched between these two washings.  

3) Regular sanitizing and washing of hands is required to be done throughout the day.

4) Disinfecting all surfaces at the beginning and end of each day and at least twice during each day, including interior and exterior door knobs is required.

What Is The Shelf Life of Chocolate from Wildwood® Chocolate?

12 months from the date of production.


Where Our Chocolate Sourced?

Our Chocolate is grown in Venezuela, but we may change the country of origin if needed to meet demand.


Does Wildwood® Chocolate Make the Chocolate That Goes Into Its Products?

No.  Wildwood® Chocolate adds ingredients, most of which are made by hand by us, and adds them to fine chocolate in order to make unique, balanced and interesting flavor combinations.  We are not a bean-to-bar producer.


Is Wildwood® Chocolate Organic?

While we use some organic ingredients and have aspirations to be 100% organic, we are not yet.  We do not believe our products contain GMOs based on representations from our suppliers, but cannot guarantee that they do not.


When Will My Order Ship?

Our production facility is located in Portland, Oregon.  Luckily it is cool here much of the year, but that is not the case in many other places in the U.S.  We adjust our shipping days depending on the weather in Portland and the expected shipping route and destination of your order.  During cool months, we ship Monday through Friday.  During warmer months, we ship Monday through Wednesday and typically add a small ice pack to the shipment.  If temperatures are expected to be higher than ideal for chocolate shipping, we may try to contact you to see if you wish for us to wait until cooler weather blows in or to select an expedited shipping method, which will have an additional fee.  We also reserve the right to hold your order if we think it is too hot to ship.  In our experience, shipping overnight or two-day air in warmer weather ensures your chocolate will arrive safe, sound and in solid form.

We highly recommend shipping to an address where someone will be available to receive the package to help prevent against theft and damage by weather.
